WASHINGTON, DC— Working Mother revealed its second annual Best Companies for Dads list, recognizing Finnegan as one of the top 50 companies. Finnegan was one of only two law firms to make the list. The list celebrates organizations that lead in the areas of paternity and gender-neutral parental leave, flexible schedules, phase-back programs for dads, and more. One hundred percent of the companies on the list offer paternity leave, compared to 27% nationally, and 100% of companies offer telecommuting, compared to 69% nationally.
“Dads play an active role in caring for children, so we want to make sure we provide them with the support they need so that they can excel both at work and at home,” said Anand Sharma, Finnegan’s managing partner.
To determine the list, the Working Mother Research Institute examined answers to questions related to dads submitted to the application for Working Mother’s annual 100 Best Companies. Those questions include paternity leave, adoption leave, surrogacy and fertility benefits, phase-back-to-work programs, childcare options, and employee-resource groups for men. Fifty companies had scores high enough to qualify for the list this year, up from 35 organizations in 2018.
