Press Release

Finnegan Named One of the 2022 Best Companies for Working Parents by Seramount

September 26, 2022

Seramount

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 22, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC—Seramount released its 100 Best Companies and Best Companies for Dads annual rankings, with Finnegan earning a spot on both lists. Recently, Seramount also named Finnegan one of the Best Law Firms for Women. These accolades recognize Finnegan’s commitment to the support of working parents and promotion of diversity in the legal sector.

Seramount’s 2022 100 Best Companies list represents almost four million employees in the United States. This year’s winners continue to set the standard by providing inclusive benefits for families, including paid gender-neutral parental leave, phase-back programs, bereavement leave after miscarriage, reimbursement for fertility expenses, and increased mental health benefits for employees.

The 2022 Best Companies for Dads winners are companies that focus on inclusive benefits for families, including paid gender-neutral parental leave, paid emergency childcare, bereavement leave after a partner/spouse miscarriage, and more.

Finnegan was one of only 4 law firms among the 100 companies that earned a spot on both lists this year. Esther Lim, Finnegan’s Partner & Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, said “We are so proud to have, once more, been recognized by Seramount. Diversity is at the core of Finnegan’s values and fostering an environment where all parents can thrive is a priority for us.”

In addition to Finnegan's recognitions, attorneys Gracie K. Mills and Shawn S. Chang were recognized as "Working Parents of the Year".

The 2022 Seramount Best Companies and Best Companies for Dads applications included more than 400 questions related to leave policies, benefits, workplace representation, childcare, employee resource groups for men, advancement programs for women and working parents, flexibility, and more. The questions assessed the availability and usage of these programs. The names of applicants that do not make the list are kept confidential. Company profiles and data come from submitted applications and reflect 2021 data.
