We at Finnegan were shocked and deeply saddened to learn about the Great Earthquake of Eastern Japan. As a firm, and as individuals, we wish to express our condolences and sympathy for those personally affected by the tragedy. We also wish to express our concern and support for the Japanese people in coping with the unbelievable disaster and in the rebuilding effort that is just beginning.
Since opening our Tokyo office in 1988, we have developed many friendships throughout Japan. Now more than ever we want to tell you that we appreciate the opportunity to assist you, and that we wish to do whatever we can to help. If we can help reach even one more person, and bring some relief even one day sooner, we wish to join together with you to make that effort.
To that end, the attorneys, the staff, and the firm are contributing $186,166 to relief organizations working in Japan. We also feel better knowing that the work we do for you may contribute in some small way to strengthening the economy and helping to rebuild the country.
The spirit of Japan is strong, and the country will recover. But we also want to say that it is with the deepest sympathy that we commit ourselves to be your partner and friend in the years to come, as the country recovers from the disaster.
この度、東北地方太平洋沖巨大地震により被災された日本の皆様に謹んでお見舞い申し上げます。
未曾有の状況に直面されている被災地の方々の安全と一日も早い復興を、フィネガン事務所スタッフ一同心よりお祈り申し上げます。
1988年の東京事務所開設以来、当所は日本の皆様と友好関係を築きながら歩んでまいりました。
当所は、今回被災された方々への支援や被災地復興に役立つ活動に全力で取り組んでいきたい所存です。一人でも多くの方に、一日でも早く支援の手を差し伸べ、皆様とともに復興への努力に取り組んでまいります。
