On February 24, Finnegan hosted an event to help students earn IPO Education Foundation's IP Patch and encourage STEM learning. Nearly 100 boys and girls participated in the program, where they developed their own invention and learned about patents, trademarks, and copyrights. The program featured distinguished role models, including the Hon. Jacqueline Bonilla (United States Patent and Trademark Office); Elizabeth Dougherty (United States Patent and Trademark Office); Lisa Marks McIntye (Google); and the Hon. Kara Stoll (United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit).
