Finnegan Band to Compete in “Banding Together 2013” Benefit for Gifts for the Homeless, Inc.

WASHINGTON, DC - On Thursday, June 20, the Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP band Redacted will compete against 17 other DC-area law firm bands in “Banding Together 2013.” The tenth annual battle of the law firm bands will benefit Gifts for the Homeless, Inc. (GFTH), a non-profit, all-volunteer organization supported by the city’s legal community to help the homeless.

“We are delighted to support this very worthy cause,” said Finnegan managing partner Barbara C. McCurdy. “Our band has been rehearsing hard and we all look forward to hearing them live on stage.”

Redacted features Forrest Jones and Moira Bogley, lead vocals; Michael Swita, vocals and guitar; James Fiorito, guitar; Justin Hendrix, drums; Rob Wells, bass; and Joe Newman, keyboard and back-up vocals. They will appear on the Esquire Stage at The Black Cat in Washington, DC at 7:40 p.m.

Finnegan is a Hall of Fame sponsor of the event. All money donated will be used to purchase essential new clothing items and blankets for homeless men, women, and children and distributed to approximately 70 shelters throughout the Washington metropolitan area. In 2012, Banding Together raised more than $275,000 for GFTH.
