Finnegan Achieves Mansfield Rule 2.0 Certification Plus Status

September 3, 2019

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 3, 2019

WASHINGTON, DC—Finnegan is pleased to announce that the firm has achieved Mansfield 2.0 Certification Plus for 2019. The firm signed on to the Mansfield Rule 2.0 in 2018, pledging that women, minority, and LGBTQ attorneys will make up at least 30 percent of candidates for leadership or governance positions, including lateral hires and equity partner promotions. This is reflective of the firm’s management team, which is 66 percent diverse. Mansfield Certified Plus status confirms that the firm has successfully implemented the Mansfield Rule over the past year as part of its strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. Mareesa Frederick, Finnegan’s Diversity Partner-in-Charge noted, “we are pleased that Finnegan has achieved Mansfield Certification Status. This achievement demonstrates Finnegan’s long-standing and continued commitment to the promotion and retention of our diverse attorneys.”

Achieving Mansfield Rule certification adds to the existing accolades Finnegan has received for its commitment to diversity. Vault’s 2020 Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms ranked Finnegan as a top 10 “Best Law Firm for Diversity”; The American Lawyer included the firm in the top 20 in its 2019 scorecard of the leading 100 U.S. law firms for overall diversity; Finnegan scored a perfect 100 in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality designation); and Law360 named Finnegan a top 10 “Best Firm for Minority Attorneys” in its 2019 Diversity Snapshot.
