Managing Intellectual Property
Finnegan partner Erika Harmon Arner was among those honored on Managing Intellectual Property’s Top 250 Women in IP list, which highlights women in private practice who have displayed exceptional performance for their clients and firms.
This year’s Top 250 Women in IP list features women from more than 50 jurisdictions across the world and points to a modest rebalancing among women leaders in intellectual property. The 2026 ranking is less concentrated among a small group of dominant firms and markets, suggesting broader recognition across the profession. The practitioners recognized are selected from Managing Intellectual Property’s IP Stars list.
Erika, who previously served as Finnegan’s managing partner and chair, has argued and won landmark cases on behalf of both patent challengers and patent owners before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Her appellate experience includes work on more than 100 Federal Circuit appeals and over a dozen oral arguments before the court. In 2026, Forbes named Erika as one of only 14 IP attorneys on its national list of America’s Top Women Lawyers.
