Managing Intellectual Property
Managing Intellectual Property examined patent litigation data from Docket Navigator, which suggests that by the end of 2021, district courts may see a six percent increase in filings. Based on the data, Finnegan was a top firm for representing both plaintiffs and defendants in the first half of 2021.
With more than 230 litigators, Finnegan's lawyers have successfully litigated hundreds of cases involving the most technologically advanced and complex patents, as well as global trademark issues and trade secret misappropriation. The firm's IP litigation experience spans nearly all federal district courts, numerous state courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. We routinely appear before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and its Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
