Intellectual Asset Management
At Intellectual Asset Management's IPBC Shenzhen event, Chinese companies were provided with guidance for developing their intellectual property strategies. They were also encouraged not to be overwhelmed by IP issues that may arise. Finnegan partner Ningling Wang noted that in negotiations, firms need to come prepared knowing what issues they are willing to compromise on and which ones they are not, despite the implied costs. She said, "I’m not saying cost is not an important factor, but want to warn you that every negotiation is a whole package."
