WASHINGTON, DC - Finnegan and American University Washington College of Law (WCL) Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property (PIJIP) will co-host the Sixth Annual Finnegan Distinguished Lecture on Intellectual Property on Thursday, November 4, 2010. This year’s guest lecturer, Marybeth Peters, register United States Register of Copyrights, will discuss the Copyright Act of 1976, a comprehensive statutory revision designed to reframe copyright law for decades to come, including the digital era. Finnegan counsel, Arthur Levine and former General Counsel, U.S. Copyright Office, Jon Baumgarten will provide comments. Welcoming remarks will be made by Finnegan partner David Kelly.
This is the sixth year that Finnegan has co-hosted the Distinguished Lecture Series on Intellectual Property with American University Washington College of Law. Past topics have included fair use of trademarks, the World Trade Organization, and the Federal Circuit. Finnegan is honored to work with American University Washington College of Law enabling the firm to create a strong academic partnership benefiting the students and faculty of the university.
