For the second year in a row, BTI Consulting Group named Finnegan as an IP Litigation powerhouse based on a survey of 300 corporate counsel. Finnegan was the only IP boutique to be named a powerhouse in the survey. The survey acknowledged Finnegan for being skilled at knowing how its clients' business works and being strategic in how it handles specific cases for its clients. According to Finnegan managing partner James B. Monroe, the scientific expertise of the firm's attorneys in a broad range of technologies is what attracts clients to the firm. He said, "Our patent litigators are actual scientists and engineers in addition to being good communicators ... if [a client has] something come up, somebody here has that technical background. We don't need a middleman to simplify the issues. We hear from clients that they really value our attorneys being able to talk to them on the same level about the details of the case, and then simplify it in the courtroom for the court and for juries."
