WASHINGTON, DC—Vault Guide ranked Finnegan as a top firm for Intellectual Property work and a top five firm for Overall Diversity. The firm was ranked #2 for both Diversity for LGBTQ+ Individuals and for Diversity for Individuals with Disabilities. Finnegan also ranked in the top ten in the categories of Diversity for Women; Racial & Ethnic Diversity; Informal Training; Mentoring & Sponsorship; and Formal Training; and in the top 20 for Quality of Work; Firm Culture; Pro Bono; Associate/Partner Relations; and Technology & Innovation. Vault conducted its Annual Associate Survey from March 2022 through May 2022.

The publication emphasizes that Finnegan’s “team of professionals has quite the impressive array of tech experience in addition to legal prowess.” It adds, “The firm is also known for its pro bono work supporting veterans. Finnegan takes training seriously, with extensive formal programming combined with an emphasis on mentoring.”

The rankings endorse Finnegan’s commitment to cultivating a work environment of respect and inclusion for individuals from diverse backgrounds. The 2023 results also highlight Finnegan’s community values, with attorneys afforded time to give back to their communities and advocate for issues that are important to them outside of intellectual property law. More than 40 percent of the firm’s lawyers are actively engaged in pro bono activities involving benefits appeals for veterans, family law, asylum representation, and tenant evictions.
