The increasing importance and value of protecting non-traditional trademarks, such as product designs and packaging, is an area globally successful companies often leverage to increase brand recognition, value, and market share. In this webinar, we will offer detailed analysis and practical advice concerning product designs and packaging. Discussion topics will include:

  • Registration of trademark rights (or “trade dress”) in a product’s distinctive appearance and packaging;
  • Use of trade dress rights to obtain monetary and injunctive relief in the United States and other jurisdictions; and
  • Implementing procedures for marketing and protecting already existing and future trade dress rights to help increase the scope and value of corporate IP portfolios.

This webinar is the second in Finnegan’s winter 2015 series, “Strategic U.S. Intellectual Property Webinars for Asian Counsel.”
