Troy's prosecution practice extends to counseling clients on patent portfolio management; drafting and preparing patent applications; and handling office action responses issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He has assisted with preparing biomedical and VR patents for filing under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and various qualified receiving offices. Troy's litigation experience encompasses counseling clients on motion practice.
During law school, Troy served as a judicial extern at the Northern District of Georgia. He also interned in the general counsel's office at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). While working as a graduate research assistant, Troy performed legal research in combination with soft-coding information from various dockets relating to cybersecurity. As an undergraduate, Troy developed efficient and robust segmentation algorithms and evaluated methods of numerical algorithms to reduce computation time related to image de-noising techniques.
