Craig Slater, Ph.D., is a Chartered UK and European patent attorney. He works with a diverse array of clients across a broad range of technical fields, spanning engineering, physics, chemistry, and computer-implemented inventions.
Craig focuses on proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO), including prosecution, oppositions, and appeals. He has extensive experience managing the prosecution of large international patent portfolios before patent offices worldwide and has assisted clients in defending high-value patent rights in invalidation proceedings in commercially important markets. Craig regularly assists clients in drafting and filing new patent applications and is adept at working with clients to develop patent filing strategies.
Before joining the profession, Craig completed a Ph.D. at the University of Oxford in the field of photochemical reaction dynamics. His thesis was awarded the Springer Thesis Prize, recognizing outstanding Ph.D. research, and was published by Springer as a monogram in their Springer Theses series. Craig is also an author on multiple scientific publications.
