Webinar
Software as a medical device (SaMD) is a rapidly expanding field, melding pharmaceuticals and digital health, from wearable health trackers to apps capable of diagnosing and treating diseases. Fueling the fire are the recent FDA Rules outlining the regulatory requirements for SaMD. This surge in technical development will be met with a growing interest to protect those advances using intellectual property, including utility patents, design patents, and trade secrets.
This webinar will include discussions on the scope of intellectual property available to protect SaMD, followed by case studies addressing the potential rights that can attach to a range of different types of SaMD.
