In this uncharted territory with COVID-19, the USPTO created a dedicated section of its website for its public messaging related to COVID-19. The link can be found here. To date, the USPTO notices include:
USPTO COVID-19 Response Resource Center;
USPTO waives original handwritten signature requirement;
Relief for USPTO customers affected by COVID-19;
USPTO offices closed to the public;
Interviews, oral hearings and in-person meetings; and
USPTO building operating status.
As the situation continues to evolve, updated notices from the USPTO will be posted on the Prosecution First blog.
