Live Arguments at the U.S. Supreme Court

May 4, 2020

Authored and Edited by Michael Liu Su; Elizabeth D. Ferrill

Starting May 4, 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court will begin hearing oral arguments by telephone conference. The Court will provide a live audio feed (no video) of the arguments to the news media. C-SPAN has announced that it will carry each of the arguments live on one of the C-SPAN TV networks, online via C-SPAN.org, and on the C-SPAN Radio app.

The first telephone argument, on May 4 at 10 AM ET, will be U.S. Patent and Trademark Office v. Booking.com, No. 19-46, in which the Office denied registration of BOOKING.COM as a service mark for online hotel reservation services. The other cases scheduled for telephone arguments in May can be found at:  https://www.supremecourt.gov/oral_arguments/calendars/MonthlyArgumentCalMay2020.html.
