On July 7, the International Trade Commission ruled that Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., LG Electronics Inc., and Toshiba Corp. did not infringe on four of Black Hills Media LLC's streaming-media patents by importing electronics such as phones, televisions, and tablets.
In June 2013, the ITC launched an investigation into allegations by Black Hills that LG, Samsung, Toshiba, Panasonic Corp., and Sharp Corp. violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act; the judge ruled that no such violation had been found. LG Electronics Inc. is represented by Finnegan attorneys Dori Hines, Andrew Sonu, Houtan Esfahani, and Elizabeth Niemeyer.
