Anthony D. Del Monaco

Anthony Del Monaco focuses his practice on patent litigation. He has been involved with litigation matters in a variety of technologies, including the mechanical, electrical, business methods, software and chemical fields. Currently, he devotes most of his practice to litigating patents before the U.S. district courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Del Monaco has assisted in advising clients on patent matters, including opinions of counsel.
He has participated in all aspects of hearings before the ITC including pre-hearing briefing, witness preparation and examination, and post-hearing briefing. Further, Mr. Del Monaco has experience in all aspects of discovery.
During law school, Mr. Del Monaco spent a semester externing for the Honorable Arthur J. Gajarsa, Circuit Judge at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In 2004 and 2005, he also served as a summer law clerk for a Boston, Massachusetts patent boutique firm handling patent prosecution and litigation matters. Prior to law school, Mr. Del Monaco worked in the areas of information technology, construction management, and waste water treatment facility design and development.

- Certain Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp ("CCFL") Inverter Circuits and Products Containing Same, 337-TA-666 (ITC). Member of team that represented respondents Monolithic Power Systems Inc., ASUSTeK Computer, Inc., ASUSTeK Computer International America in patent litigation against Complainants O2 Micro International Ltd. and O2 Micro Inc. The Commission found no violation of Section 337 by MPS or ASUS.
- Certain Video Game Machines and Related Three-Dimensional Pointing Devices, 337-TA-658 (ITC). Assisted in representing complainant Hillcrest Laboratories in patent litigation against Respondent Nintendo, Co., Ltd. Case settled favorably after a full evidentiary hearing was conducted.
- Certain Short Wavelength Semiconductor Lasers and Products Containing Same, 337-TA-627 (ITC). Member of team that represented complainant Seoul Semiconductor Company in patent litigation against Respondent Nichia Corporation. Case settled favorably.
- Served as a law clerk for the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court, gaining significant experience working in its Business Litigation Session.
- Competitor in the Saul Lefkowitz Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition and former member of the Moot Court Board.
- Served as a teaching assistant for Civil Procedure, Trademark Law and Graduate Legal Skills, conducting weekly lectures and workshops for law students.
