⾺宗聖律師為⾶翰台北辦公室的主持律師,擅⻑以最有效率、和最符合成本效益的⽅式解決客⼾⾯臨的智財問題。獲得智慧資產管理雜誌 (IAM) 評選為台灣智財訴訟與交易業務⾸席律師,以及頂尖的智財策略專家。服務的客戶包括知名跨國企業與⼩型新創公司。

⾺律師代表客⼾處理美國地院與國際貿易委員會(ITC)受理之專利及營業秘密訴訟案。相關的訴訟經驗包括向法院提出請求之答辯,以及多起案件攻防⾄審判開庭的階段。承接的案⼦還包括美國專利商標局(USPTO)受理的多⽅覆審、再審查、和⼲擾/牴觸審查案。⾺律師也為客⼾提供⾮對抗性案件的諮詢,包括出具可⾃由實施和可專利性之意⾒書,協助客⼾建制有⽤和有價值的專利組合。

Defending ADATA against allegations of patent infringement directed to ADATA’s solid state drives. Case was stayed after ADATA filed two IPRs against all asserted patents, and both IPRs have been instituted by the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO.

Kevique Technology, LLC v. Getac, Inc.
Defended Getac against allegations of patent infringement directed to Getac’s tablet devices, resulting in a voluntary dismissal by plaintiff prior to Getac having to file an answer.

Certain Audiovisual Components
Represented Realtek Semiconductor Corp. in a defensive patent suit relating to IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) wireless technology. After a full trial, the investigation concluded with the ITC finding in Realtek’s favor on non-infringement, invalidity, and complainant’s failure to prove the existence of a domestic industry, and the Federal Circuit affirmed.

Represented Roland DG of Japan in patent infringement lawsuit over large-format printers used for making indoor/outdoor banners, displays, and signs and vehicle graphics. The case was dismissed after the parties reached a mutually agreeable settlement shortly before case was in ready for trial.

Representing Wonderland Nurserygoods in action to enforce its patent against Thorley’s infringing 4Mom’s brand of children’s playards.

Johnson Health Tech. Co., Ltd. v. Dyaco International Inc.
Represented Dyaco, Spirit Manufacturing and Spirit Fitness Products in litigation and arbitration involving Johnson Health’s allegations of breach of contract and licensing agreements.  After preparing and filing two IPRs and two ex parte reexaminations against multiple Johnson Health patents, the parties were able to reach a mutually agreeable resolution before any substantial proceedings took place in the arbitration and litigation.

Defended Children's Medical Ventures and other Philips entities against claims including trade secret misappropriation and various fraud claims related to infant heel warmer heating devices; won summary judgment dismissing the trade secret and fraud claims.

Obtained favorable settlement prior to trial at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) after obtaining a finding of indefiniteness of one of three asserted patents, institution of inter partes review (IPR) of another patent, and filing an offensive case seeking damages, inter alia, in the form of attorneys’ fees for being forced to defend against Bell Northern’s assertion of patents in violation of FRAND licensing obligations.
