Licensing of intellectual property (IP) can be a significant revenue source for companies and universities. Indeed, an estimated 80% of the value of S&P 500 companies is from intangible assets, and U.S. universities reported income from licensing of $2.4 billion in 2010. This program will provide practical lessons for generating and increasing value from IP through licensing. Attendees will learn strategies to identify and protect their IP, and how to avoid common mistakes when monetizing their IP.
