Marta Garcia practices all areas of patent law, including patent prosecution, strategic counseling, and litigation. Her counseling and prosecution practice focuses on the chemical and biotechnology arts. Marta's litigation experience includes various aspects of trial preparation, including conducting fact discovery and assisting technical experts with preparation of expert reports.
Before law school, Marta worked at a consulting firm specializing in patent search and strategy matters. As a consultant, she conducted prior art and freedom-to-operate searches, as well as patent landscape analyses. Her undergraduate research experience includes pharmaceutical formulations development and semiconductor fabrication. Marta has been a panelist for the Women's Intellectual Property Lawyers Association's "Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession."
