Maram Al-Shaer focuses on patent litigation and prosecution. She has extensive experience in drafting, prosecuting, and defending patents across a range of technical fields, including telecommunications, artificial intelligence (AI), automotive systems, electric vehicles (EVs), and aerospace technologies.
Maram’s practice encompasses managing complex litigation before U.S. district courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO); preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO; and advising clients on the strategic management of intellectual property (IP) portfolios.
During law school, Maram gained valuable industry experience working with a leading aerospace innovator, where she collaborated with engineers to identify and protect patentable technologies critical to product development. She led detailed patentability assessments, conducted thorough prior art analyses, and developed strategic IP protection plans to safeguard key innovations.
