Technical Specialist
Simon Lin focuses on patent preparation and prosecution in the areas of electrical engineering and computer science. His technical background encompasses a wide range of hardware components, including touch panels, memory controllers, and digital/analog circuitry as well as advanced software technologies, such as cryptography, communication technologies, blockchain, and machine learning.
Simon is a licensed patent agent admitted in Taiwan. Prior to joining Finnegan, his work included conducting patent searches for freedom-to-operate (FTO) reports, assisting in U.S. litigation procedures, and drafting and prosecuting patent applications across various jurisdictions, including Taiwan, China, the United States, Europe, and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) countries.
At National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Simon earned a master of laws degree focused on intellectual property, licensing, antitrust, and United States property law.
