Keaghan Krog, Ph.D., combines a strong foundation in theoretical physics with growing experience in patent law to assist clients in protecting innovations across high-tech industries. With technical knowledge spanning semiconductor devices, telecommunications systems, artificial intelligence (AI), and medical technologies, Keaghan brings depth and practical insight as it applies to intellectual property (IP) strategies.

Keaghan supports the drafting and prosecution of patent applications before the UK and European patent offices, including preparing responses to search opinions and examination reports. He assists clients with developing strategies for safeguarding IP and aligning protection with business objectives. Keghan’s experience further extends to invention mining and portfolio transfers.

Prior to his legal career, Keaghan conducted advanced research and performed quantum-optics like experiments with electrons. Working closely with an experimental team, Keaghan modelled and simulated nano-scale semiconductor devices to explore fundamental issues of solid-state physics and quantum-technology, with an objective of applying such devices to quantum information processing. His research involved international collaboration and the development of simulation software for experimental validation. Keaghan is proficient in several computer programming languages and has experience applying machine learning (ML) techniques to complex problems.
