Juan Pablo Silva draws on years of cross-border legal experience related to trademark prosecution and litigation matters across Latin America and the United States. His background in civil law, combined with hands-on litigation experience before Chilean courts, allows him to provide a distinct perspective to client counseling.

He advises clients on U.S. trademark prosecution and enforcement strategies, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings, and cross-border matters. He works closely with companies in the consumer goods, media, entertainment, and finance sectors.
Before joining Finnegan, Juan Pablo worked in mergers and acquisitions at a Chilean law firm, where he participated in cross-border transactions and advised a range of clients. He also worked for a leading Chilean intellectual property firm, where he advised national and multinational companies on trademark portfolio management and litigation. Juan Pablo represented clients before Chile’s Industrial Property Court (INAPI), the Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court.
