Jordan Gringauz practices in all areas of patent law, including litigation, client counseling, and prosecution. His technical experience includes pharmaceuticals and biologics.
Jordan prosecutes patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). His experience includes drafting applications for inventions relating to genetically modified bacteria constructs. He also provides opinions on validity and freedom to operate for clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
While in law school, Jordan worked as a summer associate at Finnegan and he interned with Unified Patents. At Unified, he assisted senior counsel in selecting patents for inter partes review (IPR) challenges before the USPTO.
Prior to law school, Jordan conducted immunology research in the Snapper Lab at Harvard's Boston Children's Hospital. His research helped assess the clinical efficacy of low-dose interleukin-2 (IL2) for patients with ulcerative colitis and develop a humanized mouse model used to assess a wide range of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) treatments. He also investigated the interplay between genes and bacteria in relation to IBD. Jordan is a listed author on several published articles in prestigious journals, such as Gastroenterology.
