Jordan Gringauz practices in all areas of patent law, including litigation, client counseling, technology licensing, and prosecution. His technical experience includes pharmaceuticals and biologics.
Jordan’s practice encompasses all avenues of U.S. patent law, with a focus on biotechnology and pharmaceutical innovations. His experience includes litigating trade secrets related to gene therapies as well as strategically drafting, filing, prosecuting, and managing global patent portfolios relating to cell biology and electroporation.
Jordan has played a key role in technology transfer and licensing transactions, including negotiating licenses for CRISPR-Cas9 technologies and conducting both corporate and intellectual property (IP) due diligence for the acquisition of assets involving CRISPR-Cas12f nucleases.
Prior to his legal career, Jordan conducted immunology research at Harvard’s Boston Children’s Hospital. His research helped assess the clinical efficacy of low-dose interleukin-2 (IL2) for patients with ulcerative colitis and develop a humanized mouse model used to assess a wide range of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) treatments. Jordan is a listed author on several published articles in prestigious journals, such as Gastroenterology.
Rocket Pharmaceuticals, Inc. v. Lexeo Therapeutics, Inc., et al.
Represented Rocket Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in district court litigation involving claims of trade secret misappropriation and breach of contract against individual and corporate defendants and relating to complex treatments for genetic disorders. Successfully opposed motion to dismiss key claims and obtained settlement with all defendants following completion of fact discovery.
