Patent Attorney Trainee
Filip Wach, Ph.D., has a strong background in semiconductor physics and technology, with a particular focus on emerging wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies. He assists with legal matters related to patent prosecution in the UK and Europe.
Prior to joining Finnegan, Filip earned his doctorate from the University of Bristol in the field of semiconductor physics, where he concentrated on characterization and simulations of novel wide bandgap semiconductor microelectronic devices for power and radio frequency (RF) electronics. Upon completion of his postgraduate degree, Filip joined Infineon Technologies in Villach, Austria, to continue as a technology development engineer. He worked on cutting-edge gallium nitride (GaN)-based microelectronic devices and integrated circuits (ICs) for power applications.
As a member of the firm's electrical group, Filip draws on his experience in academia and industry to assist with prosecuting patents in the various fields of physics, technology, and computer implemented inventions.
