Christine Akagi assists our attorneys on all aspects of patent law, leveraging her background in electrical engineering and computer science to support clients in high-tech industries. She has experience prosecuting patents across a range of technical fields, including wireless communications and computer memory devices.

Prior to joining Finnegan, Christine worked as a patent engineer, drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international applications for standard-essential patents (SEPs) related to wireless communications. She gained hands-on technical experience across a variety of electronic technologies through internships, including one with a major defense contractor. Christine’s technical expertise extends to telecommunications, computer architecture, control systems, and electronic devices.

While in law school, Christine interned at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, where she assisted in judicial research and writing.  She spent several years as an undergraduate research assistant, focusing on machine learning algorithms deployed on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
