Chelsea Chung is a trainee trade mark attorney focusing on trade mark prosecution and brand management. She has experience in contentious and non-contentious matters, assisting clients with brand development in trade mark applications and brand enforcement through opposition and cancellation proceedings. Chelsea works across various industrial areas, with extended experience in consumer goods and services.
Chelsea focused her legal studies on intellectual property, emphasizing trade marks and copyrights. Her dedication to the subject also led her to complete a highly commended dissertation on text and data mining issues in copyright law.
After obtaining her law degree, Chelsea completed an internship at a leading law firm in Hong Kong, where she gained experience in trade mark practice spanning across Hong Kong and China. She assisted in a range of non-contentious matters such as clearance searches, office actions and assignments, as well as disputes including opposition and cancellation proceedings. Additionally, she assisted with preparing free consultation sessions at the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department, helping local small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) with queries on trade mark and brand management.
