Participating in an open source project, or using software under an open source license, requires comprehensive understanding and careful analysis of applicable license and patent terms. Participating in open source projects may result in disclaiming intellectual property rights, taking on infringement risks, and creating inconsistencies with your intellectual property strategy.
Our speakers will discuss open source licensing, key terms, and issues affecting open source licensing, including how it interacts with, or even conflicts with, patents.
