Joint development arrangements, including joint ventures, provide many benefits for companies, including being able to enter new markets and/or develop new products without undertaking undue costs and risks.  However, one must not blindly sign off on a joint development agreement in view of issues such as inventorship and title of background IP to be licensed/assigned and newly developed IP from the collaboration.  In this webinar, we will cover common IP pitfalls of joint development arrangements and how one can strategically avoid them.
