Jennifer Roscetti, co-leader of Finnegan’s litigation and trial section, focuses on patent litigation before U.S. district courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). She also represents clients before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Her practice encompasses a range of technologies primarily focused on chemical subject matter such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and specialty chemicals. Jennifer was recognized by LMG Life Sciences as Hatch-Waxman Litigator of the Year, Branded.
Jennifer has particular experience in representing pharmaceutical patent holders in Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) litigations for blockbuster pharmaceuticals. She has had key responsibilities in all aspects of federal district court litigations, from the initial pleading stage through discovery, motions, claim construction, and trial. She also provides strategic guidance to clients on infringement, validity and enforceability issues.
Jennifer’s proficiencies in the chemical area are supported by industry and research experience. Prior to her legal career, she worked as process design engineer for ExxonMobil Chemical Company and as a process engineer for E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company in the Teflon® division. Jennifer also engaged in research on anti-cancer drugs in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky.
Jennifer regularly lectures in the United States and abroad concerning potential challenges and opportunities for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in navigating recent developments in U.S. patent law. She serves as an adjunct professor in Patent Law and Advanced Topics in Patent Policy at Howard University of Law. Jennifer was shortlisted for the Life Sciences Lawyer of the Year at the 2023 Women in Business Law Awards, which recognizes leading women practitioners from over 30 practice areas.
Jennifer previously served as the leader of the firm's chemical and metallurgical practice group as well on the firm’s management committee.

Represented Pronova in Hatch-Waxman patent litigation concerning multiple ANDAs for generic versions of drug Lovaza®, resulting in judgment of patent infringement, validity, and enforceability in Pronova's favor.
