In September of 2011, major changes to the United States patent system became law, known as the America Invents Act (AIA). The next 12 months provide a strategic opportunity for practitioners to understand how patent practice in the United States will change as the AIA is implemented, including the unique “first inventor to file” system. Practitioners are now faced with the challenge of understanding the new rules and procedures, and how their daily practice will change.
As a follow-up to our introduction to the AIA last fall, through practical examples and hypotheticals, we will prepare you for a new era of U.S. patent practice, and how it will affect you and/or your clients.
This full-day seminar will take place in Munich, Germany. Admission is free, but space is limited so please reserve a space as soon as possible. IPEventsBrussels@Finnegan.com
