On October 15, 2014, the United States Government Accountability Office held a forum to discuss 3D printing and its opportunities, challenges, and considerations for policy action. The forum participants included officials from government, academia, business, and NGOs. One result of the forum was a report titled, “3D Printing: Opportunities, Challenges, and Policy Implications of Additive Manufacturing,” which published in June 2015.
