“In the first ruling of its kind since the America Invents Act established a new system for reviewing patents,” the PTAB decided in favor of Finnegan client SAP, finding Versata Inc.’s ’350 patent “too abstract and therefore invalid.” Finnegan partner Erika Arner said, “We’re pleased with the decision and pleased for our client.” Finnegan represented SAP in this matter.
