Kaitlyn has experience in several stages of litigation. She participates in pre-litigation research and strategy, conducts claim construction and pretrial legal research, prepares for and participates in depositions and other discovery, and drafts and revises briefs and motions. She has assisted in several branded Hatch-Waxman and Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA) litigations at the district court and Federal Circuit levels. Additionally, Kaitlyn has worked on cases involving chemicals, materials, and electronics, including in Section 337 proceedings at the ITC.
Prior to law school, Kaitlyn worked in the medical device industry as a process engineer, ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance during the manufacturing of high-tech endovascular medical devices. She also has industry experience in copper mining and household cleaning products.
Kaitlyn is committed to her pro bono practice. She has represented disabled military veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in cases related to denial of benefits. Before joining the firm, Kaitlyn spent several months volunteering her legal services at the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP).
