WASHINGTON, DC - Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers again recognized Finnegan on its 2013 list of the “50 Best Law Firms for Women.” Released today, the prestigious ranking honors law firms that are committed to women-friendly workplaces. This is the second consecutive year Finnegan has been included.
“Finnegan is proud to be named a top law firm for women,” said Finnegan managing partner James B. Monroe. “This award highlights the firm’s dedication to family-friendly policies and success in retaining and advancing women in leadership roles.” Finnegan offers competitive work-life balance programs and internal programs to foster mentoring, networking, and educational support.
In addition, Finnegan partner Beth Ferrill was recognized as a Working Mother of the Year. Beth said, "Finnegan allows parents to return to work on a part-time basis initially, which helped me figure out how to navigate the transition to being a working mom."
The Best Law Firms for Women survey was developed in 2007 in a partnership between Working Mother Media and Flex-Time Lawyers LLC. Firms with at least 50 lawyers are eligible to apply and provide detailed questions about the issues that are most important to the retention and promotion of female lawyers. Fifty winning firms are selected based on their commitments, policies, and accomplishments related to workforce profile, family-friendly benefits and policies, flexibility, leadership, compensation, advancement and retention of women.
