Major victories across IP venues for Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, and Lamborghini

Arigna Technology Limited

Audi AG; Audi of America, LLC; Automobili Lamborghini America, LLC; Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.; Bentley Motors Limited; Bentley Motors, Inc; Volkswagen AG; Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.

Finnegan achieved prominent wins for clients Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, and Lamborghini by defending them against multiple allegations of patent infringement involving power electronics and power semiconductor structures. After a full investigative hearing on the merits at the International Trade Commission (ITC) involving two patents, Finnegan successfully secured an initial determination from the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) of no violation of Section 337, which was upheld by the full Commission. At the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), Finnegan secured institution of petitions for inter partes review (IPR) on the same patents. The Finnegan team also helped win an early dismissal of infringement claims over a third patent with prejudice in the Eastern District of Texas. And after helping obtain additional victories on claim construction and venue transfer regarding a fourth patent, also in the Eastern District of Texas, Finnegan helped achieve resolution of all remaining issues.
