With more than fifteen years of patent prosecution experience, Yuefei Ma focuses on patent preparation and prosecution in a wide variety of electrical engineering disciplines, including semiconductor devices; fabrication methods; digital and analog circuits; telecommunications; digital signal processing; display devices;  fuel cells; data management systems; computer architecture; networking systems; database design and architecture; data processing; and business methods.

Prior to joining Finnegan, Yuefei worked as a patent agent at an intellectual property law firm in Washington, D.C. She has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of U.S. patent applications, and participated in appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Before starting her legal career, Yuefei gained industry experience working as a process engineer in a semiconductor wafer manufacturing company.

During her graduate studies, Yuefei developed fabrication processes and testing methods for molecular electronic devices and semiconductor devices. She also researched the correlation between semiconductor bulk defects and device performance.
