Yicong (Eve) Du has a mixed practice of patent litigation and patent prosecution, with her focus primarily in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology areas.
Yicong worked as a summer associate based in Finnegan's Shanghai and D.C. offices, assisting in patent drafting and writing about Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulation updates. In law school, she served as senior editor for the Food and Drug Law Journal, and she was a Technology Law and Policy Scholar as well as an active member in the Student Intellectual Property Law Association.
While pursuing her undergraduate biology degree, Yicong led a student research team that worked to develop an early detection kit for esophageal cancer with synthetic biology technology. She also performed research on the circadian clock and its role in breast cancer in a neuroscience lab.
Yicong maintains an active pro bono practice. She has worked with the National Veterans Law Services Program (NVLSP) on class action lawsuits regarding veterans' medical insurance reimbursements, and she has assisted asylum seekers with preparing applications.
