Steve Gelman practices patent law and leverages his extensive experience, both in law firms and as in-house counsel with a major semiconductor company, to strategically develop patent portfolios.
Steve has drafted, prosecuted, and supervised the drafting and prosecution of thousands of patent applications in the United States and most major foreign jurisdictions. His practice includes patent portfolio development and management as well as creating patent development programs, including overall patent strategy and patent harvesting/mining, for corporations.
Steve has experience in a wide range of technical areas, including microprocessor design; computer hardware and software; artificial intelligence and machine learning; cellular telephone technologies; wireless local area network (WLAN) technologies; video processing software and hardware; data storage software; cable set-top boxes; cable modems; electrical connectors; bar code scanners; and consumer-focused Internet software. He also has patent-related experience with regulatory, security, and trade issues, including export control and compliance.
