Bob Kramer litigates complex IP and antitrust cases and uses these experiences to advise leading technology companies and famous brands on their global IP strategies. Bob believes that meaningful IP empowers companies to grow and compete in economies only when aligned with other business strategies. He has been recognized as a Top IP strategist in Intellectual Asset Managements Strategy 300.
Bob offers clients valuable business insight, having served as vice-president of legal, acting and deputy general counsel for a Silicon Valley-based, NASDAQ-listed semiconductor design company.
Over the past 25 years, Bob's experience has spanned the fields of semiconductors, cryptography and blockchains, telecommunications and mobile phones, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and health supplements, gaming devices, sporting equipment, and consumer products. He has represented clients in numerous U.S. district courts as well as at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the European Commission, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where he also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge H. Robert Mayer.
In addition to litigation, Bob works with clients to create and manage international IP portfolios, negotiate complex IP disputes, draft license agreements and settlements involving all aspects of IP, and conduct IP due diligence and other internal corporate and technology investigations.
Bob has worked in New York, Washington D.C., Silicon Valley, and Sydney, where his insight as a qualified Australian solicitor and registered trade marks attorney have proven particularly beneficial in counseling Australia-based clients with interests in the U.S. market.
