Laine Fisher assists our attorneys with trademark and copyright law, particularly in matters involving consumer goods, creative industries, and high-value intellectual property (IP) assets. Her involvement in both litigation and prosecution supports a comprehensive understanding of brand protection strategies and enforcement mechanisms.
Laine’s works with attorneys at the firm to assist clients with copyright infringement matters and trademark litigation in both federal district court and the Trademark Trial Appeal Board (TTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Her prior work in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals contributes to a nuanced understanding of IP as a legacy asset.
While in law school, Laine served as a law clerk at Finnegan. She assisted in conducting legal research, reviewing motions, identifying key information for discovery, and trial strategy. Her background in the arts and entertainment areas, which includes working for a world-renowned art dealer and art gallery, attracted her to trademark and copyright law and gives her a distinct viewpoint on various creative sectors.
Prior to law school, Laine taught English in South Korea and spent a year studying abroad at the London School of Economics, allowing her to gain a wider global perspective. Her previous roles in legal assistance and education reflect Laine’s commitment to accessible legal communication and client-centered service.
