Associate
Krista Marrocco leverages her technical background in electrical engineering to advise on disputes involving electrical, computer, and medical device technologies. She focuses on patent litigation, post-grant proceedings at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and trade secret matters.
Krista’s experience includes drafting legal memoranda and discovery objections, analyzing intellectual property (IP) licensing agreements, and contributing to articles examining developments in patent litigation and proceedings before the PTAB.
Krista developed her technical knowledge as an undergraduate research assistant in several labs that involved a range of different technologies, such as bioelectrical microelectrodes, magnetic nanowires, and biomedical instruments. She focused her undergraduate studies on semiconductor devices, magnetic devices, wireless communication systems, and energy systems. She previously worked as summer associate with Finnegan and completed a legal internship with a global technology company.
As a law student, Krista served as a student advocate in an elder law clinic. As a student advocate, she gained hands-on experience counseling clients on estate planning and drafting wills, powers of attorney, living wills, and health care surrogate designations. After completing the clinic, she continued her involvement as a graduate research assistant, where she assisted in case management and researched multi-faceted elder law issues. Krista remains actively engaged in pro bono advocacy. She has experience assisting on pro bono matters where she advised disabled veterans in proceedings before the U.S. Court of Appeals of Veterans Claims (CAVC).
