As general counsel at Finnegan, Diana Ashton serves as a resource for the firm. Working closely with firm management, she provides practical advice and counsel with respect to matters of firm policy, risk management, and other ethics and loss prevention issues.

Prior to joining Finnegan, Diana provided legal compliance, ethics, and risk management counsel for several large law firms. Her background also includes legislative and redistricting experience while employed with the state of California's Statewide Database, which is housed at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.

Diana is a lecturer in law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she teaches a course on Professional Responsibility.
