Brittany Knutson focuses on trademark and unfair competition litigation. She litigates cases and manages enforcement efforts for some of the worlds most well-known brands across a broad range of industries, including media, e-commerce, hospitality, retail, and consumer goods.
Brittany represents clients in federal district courts across the nation as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Prior to joining Finnegan, Brittany worked at a global law firm where she was responsible for handling key components of high-profile and complex litigations involving valuable and recognizable brands.Brittany has extensive experience with online enforcement programs and has recovered countless domain names through UDRP and usTLD proceedings. She also develops and implements strategic and proactive trademark enforcement programs.
As part of her active pro bono practice, Brittany successfully assisted a client with asserting claims of transgender discrimination against a large metropolitan hospital system. The case ultimately reached favorable settlement terms that included system-wide policy changes.
Successfully represented Bausch & Lomb and Eye Therapies in a Hatch-Waxman patent infringement litigation and parallel PTAB challenges concerning an ANDA for generic versions of over-the-counter Lumify® ocular drops. The cases settled favorably for our clients.
