Baiyu Zhu utilizes his technical training in computer science and business administration, combined with experience in patent litigation, to support complex intellectual property (IP) matters involving computer software, electronics, and medical devices. Baiyu’s work focuses on high-stakes disputes involving national and international technology companies before federal courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Baiyu’s practice includes supporting patent and antitrust litigation. He has extensive experience assisting with venue transfer, fact and expert discovery, claim constructions, and trial preparation.
Prior to joining Finnegan, Baiyu worked for a national IP law firm, where he served as the lead associate defending a foreign cable modem technology company in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. While in law school, Baiyu externed for Judge Cynthia Rufe of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and Judge Terrence Zic of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.
