Alyssa Mottahed focuses on trademark prosecution and litigation. She works with clients across various industries, including those in the apparel, consumer goods, entertainment, media, and sports and fitness spaces. Alyssa leverages her experience to advise clients in federal district court litigations, at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and in settlement negotiations.
During law school, Alyssa served as a student attorney at the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic. She represented and advised clients in trademark opposition matters, settlement negotiations, and federal district court litigations, as well as counseled clients in trademark clearances. Her work as a summer associate at Finnegan included providing research for trademark matters. As an extern at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) in the office of Commissioner Amy Karpel, Alyssa supported the commissioner and staff counsel on trade matters before the ITC by evaluating arguments, conducting research, and reviewing work-product.
